Casino

The classic card game of capture and strategy

About the Game

Casino is a faithful adaptation of the classic card game where players capture cards from a central table by matching values, building combinations, and outmaneuvering their opponent. Play your hand wisely to collect the most valuable cards and reach the target score first.

With captures, builds, sweeps, and strategic discards, every decision matters. Challenge a smart computer opponent or play head-to-head with a friend.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play a card?

Drag a card from your hand onto the table. If the card can capture, you will be prompted to choose a capture, build, or discard. Drag onto a specific table card to target it directly when multiple captures are possible.

What is a capture?

You capture table cards whose values match your hand card. Number cards can capture multiple groups that add up to the card's value. Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) capture one matching face card at a time.

What is a build?

A build combines your hand card with one or more table cards to form a target value that you plan to capture on a future turn. You must hold a card matching the build's value in your hand. Each player may have one build on the table at a time.

What is a sweep?

When you capture every card and build on the table in a single play, that is a sweep. Each sweep earns one bonus point.

How is scoring calculated?

At the end of each hand: Most Cards = 3 points, Most Spades = 1 point, Big Casino (10 of Diamonds) = 2 points, Little Casino (2 of Spades) = 1 point, each Ace = 1 point, and each Sweep = 1 point. The first player to reach the target score wins.

What is the China variant?

In the China variant, instead of receiving four cards at the start of each round, players draw one card at the beginning of each turn (after the initial deal). All other rules remain the same. Select the variant from the menu before dealing.

Can I review what happened this round?

Yes — open the pull-down menu during play and tap "Review Round." It shows the opening board and each action taken in order, along with the resulting board state after each play.

Why can't I discard?

If you own a build on the table, you must act on it — you cannot discard. You can capture it, extend it, or increase its value.

Who goes first?

The dealer is chosen randomly at the start of each game. The non-dealer always plays first. The dealer alternates each hand.

What iOS version do I need?

The app requires iOS 16 or later.
