T2BigTwo

大老二 — The classic Asian card game of strategy and shedding

About the Game

T2BigTwo is a two-player adaptation of the classic Asian shedding card game Big Two (大老二). Play singles, pairs, triples, and five-card poker hands to be the first to empty your hand. Outwit your opponent with smart leads, well-timed passes, and powerful combinations.

Each hand is played over two rounds of 13 cards. The player with the fewest cards remaining wins the round; the first to reach the target penalty score loses the game.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I play a card or combination?

Tap cards in your hand to select them, then tap Play. You can play any single card, pair, triple, or legal five-card hand. If you don't want to play, tap Pass (not available on the opening play).

What is the opening play?

At the start of each round, the first player must play a combination that includes their lowest card. Tap the ? icon during your opening play to see every legal combination in your hand.

How are cards ranked?

From high to low: 2, A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3. Suits rank Spades > Hearts > Clubs > Diamonds. Between equal-rank cards, the higher suit wins.

What are the legal five-card combinations?

From weakest to strongest: Straight, Flush, Full House, Four of a Kind (plus a kicker), Straight Flush. A stronger type beats a weaker one — any flush beats any straight, any full house beats any flush, and so on.

How do I win a trick?

Players alternate turns. Each turn you must beat the current play with a higher combination of the same size, or pass. When your opponent passes, you win the trick and lead the next one with any legal combination.

How is scoring calculated?

Penalty points go to the loser of each round, based on how many cards remain in their hand. 1–9 cards: 1 point each. 10–12 cards: 2 points each. 13 cards (couldn't play any): 3 points each. The first player to reach the target penalty score loses the game.

Can I review what happened this round?

Yes — tap the hamburger menu and choose "Review Round." It shows every play and pass in order, with the cards involved.

Who goes first?

In Round 1, the non-dealer plays first. In Round 2, the loser of Round 1 plays first. The dealer alternates each hand.

Can I play with another person on the same device?

Yes. Choose Human vs Human at the start. A "Pass the device" screen hides your hand between turns; tap Ready to reveal your cards.

What iOS version do I need?

The app requires iOS 17.6 or later.
