Beat the dealer without going over 21
21 With Dice is a fast-paced dice game where you roll against the dealer (computer) to get as close to 21 as possible. Choose how many dice to roll each turn, manage your risk, and beat the dealer's total to win.
The dealer rolls first, revealing only one die. Then it's your turn:
Instant Win: Roll three sixes (18) on your very first roll and you win immediately — the dealer doesn't get to finish.
Once your running total reaches 10, an odds table appears on the left side of the play area to help you decide how many dice to roll next. Each row corresponds to a roll option (1, 2, or 3 dice), and each column shows a probability:
All percentages are computed from the exact probability of every dice combination — no estimation. Values are shown to one decimal place. A few special cases:
Use the table to weigh aggressive vs. safe plays. The table hides during the dealer's turn and between hands.
21 With Dice has two leaderboards, and Settings → View Leaderboard opens whichever is relevant:
Optionally enter a player name on first launch — this name shows on the local leaderboard. You can change your name or reset the local leaderboard at any time from the Settings menu. Game Center uses your Game Center nickname, set in iOS Settings.
Why does the dealer win ties?
Just like blackjack, ties go to the house. It's part of the house edge and keeps the game balanced.
Can the dealer bust?
Yes — the dealer must keep rolling when at 16 or below, which means the dealer can go over 21. A conservative strategy of standing early can pay off.
What does the dealer's revealed die tell me?
It's a clue to the dealer's strength. A high visible die suggests the dealer may already have a strong hand. A low die could mean opportunity — or a bluff.
Is rolling more dice always better?
Not necessarily. Rolling 3 dice at once grows your total quickly but increases bust risk. Rolling 1 die is safer but slower. Mix it up based on your current total and how far you are from 21.
What iOS version is required?
The app requires iOS 17 or later. It runs on both iPhone and iPad.
